Cinnamon Whipped Cream

Making whipped cream at home is so easy and it can be really fun to customize it to the dessert or drink you are pairing it with.

Today, I am making cinnamon whipped cream to top my horchata crème brûlée with, but this warmly spiced whipped cream also pairs perfectly with apple pie, pumpkin pie, a chai latte, some fresh fruit or tomorrow mornings coffee.

Let’s get started…

Simply combine 1 cup of cold heavy cream, 2-3 tablespoons of confectioners sugar (depending on how sweet you like your whipped cream), 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon and 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract in a large bowl.

Using the whisk attachment on your stand mixer, an electric hand mixer or a strong arm and a stiff whisk, whip the cream until soft or stiff peaks have formed, whichever you prefer.

This whipped cream is wonderful. You get everything you love about whipped cream… cool, fluffy, sweetness, but also have the warm, comforting flavors of cinnamon and I love it so much.

Whether you have big plans for this whipped cream or just want to whip it up and let the inspiration flow, you are going to love the beautiful flavors that develop from adding a little cinnamon and vanilla extract into some heavy cream.

It’s the simple things, right?
