Chocolate is amazing. It turns frowns upside down, makes cranky people smile and can make a bad day seem not so bad. For these and many other reasons, making a chocolate dessert is usually a pretty safe bet, because almost everyone loves chocolate…
For serious chocolate connoisseurs, a slice of chocolate cake may not be enough chocolate and for this and many other occasions, chocolate whipped cream is exactly what you need.
Let’s get started…
Whipped cream is so easy to make at home and it is something that is definitely worth the little bit of effort. Begin by adding 1 cup of cold heavy cream, 2 tablespoons of natural unsweetened cocoa powder, 3 tablespoons of confectioners sugar, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, 1/2 teaspoon of espresso powder and a pinch of salt into a large bowl.
Use an electric hand mixer to whip the ingredients until soft or stiff peaks form and voila… you have fresh chocolate whipped cream.
Although I love all types of whipped cream, this chocolate whipped cream has to be my favorite. It is perfect over any chocolate dessert, adds something special to pancakes or waffles and is so wonderful paired with fresh fruit. A strawberry dipped into this stuff is truly spectacular… I’m just sayin’…
If you are looking for a fabulous whipped cream to enjoy on your desserts, in your hot cocoa or coffee or just on a spoon, then make this chocolate whipped cream… you’ll be so glad that you did
