Cilantro and limes are two quintessential ingredients in Mexican and Indian cuisine. They go together so well and add something fresh and zesty to whatever they bless with their presence. Let’s get it started…
To begin, gather 2/3 cup of plain Greek yogurt or Mexican crema, 1 clove of garlic, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, a pinch of black pepper, 1/2 cup of fresh cilantro, 1 tablespoon of freshly squeezed lime juice and 1 teaspoon of lime zest.
Combine everything in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth. Taste to see if additional salt or black pepper is necessary and add a little more lime juice, if you want to thin your dip out a bit.

Cilantro Lime Crema
Ingredients
- 2/3 cup of plain Greek yogurt or Mexican crema
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1/2 cup of fresh cilantro
- 1 teaspoon of fresh lime zest
- 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lime juice
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- a pinch of black pepper
Instructions
- Combine all of the ingredients in blender or food processor
- Blend until smooth
- Add additional salt, black pepper or lime juice, if necessary
- Serve immediately or chill in an airtight container until ready to use
