Crispy Chicken Caesar Wraps

This is one of my all time favorite recipes, especially when I make everything from scratch. Now, of course you can make most, some or even none of the elements yourself and it will still be delicious, but I will be giving you directions to make everything on your own, just incase you want to taste what the ultimate crispy chicken caesar wrap tastes like… no pressure…

Allow me to explain these wraps…

Soft, pillowy flatbread folded and filled with crispy chicken tenders and shredded lettuce that is then topped with lots of parmesan and a creamy caesar dressing. It is amazing and I know you are going to love it.

Let’s get started…

Let’s start with the quickest version of these wraps. If they sound delicious, but you want to enjoy them sooner than later, then here are my recommendations for store bought elements of this recipe. You can either buy them all and make these wraps in minutes or you can follow my recipes to make some of the elements and pick the others up at the store. Its a flexible recipe, but I do recommend you giving the scratch versions a try, because I know you will love them!

Ok, here are my favorite store bought versions of the things you will need to create these wraps…

For the chicken tenders and lettuce, you can typically find both in your local grocery store ready to go.

If you are interested in making your own flatbread, in just over an hour, you can have 8 of the softest, most pillowy flatbread by following my soft flatbread recipe.

All you need is 3 cups of bread flour, 3/4 cup of water, 1/2 cup of whole milk, 2 teaspoons of instant yeast, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, 1 teaspoon of salt and 1 tablespoon of olive oil.

You will not be disappointed if you decide to make this flatbread.

The second most important element of these wraps would be the creamy caesar in my opinion. I love caesar dressing, so developing a recipe for a really great creamy caesar was very important to me and here is that recipe.

You will need 1 1/2 cups of a good quality mayonnaise (I love Duke’s), 2 teaspoons of Worcestershire sauce, 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice, 1 tablespoon of dijon mustard, 3 crushed cloves of garlic, 2 anchovy filets, a pinch of salt and black pepper, 2/3 cup of finely shredded parmigiano reggiano and a pinch of cayenne pepper. This will give you a nice big batch of the most delicious creamy caesar.

You could make a smaller batch of this dressing, but I am pretty sure that you will be pretty disappointed that you don’t have extra once you see how good it is.

It’s kind of tough to determine who is the star of this show since everyone is so fabulous, but if I had to choose, I would say that the crispy chicken tenders are.

They are easy to whip up, crispy and super delicious. You will need 8 small boneless skinless chicken tenders, 2/3 cup of all purpose flour, 1/3 cup of cornstarch, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1 teaspoon of onion powder, 1 teaspoon of seasoned salt, 1 teaspoon of paprika, 1/2 teaspoon of chili powder, 2 eggs, 2 tablespoons of milk, some salt and black pepper and canola oil for frying.

You can find my recipe for these tasty little tenders here.

Now that you have all of the elements, it is time to assemble these delicious crispy chicken caesar wraps.

Place 4 flatbreads on plates and top them with shredded lettuce. One wrap is a nice lunch sized portion, but 2 wraps make for a great, filling dinner or post workout carb and protein boost.

Place 2 small crispy fried chicken tenders over each flatbread and top them generously with finely shredded parmesan and a healthy drizzle of creamy caesar dressing.

Aren’t they inviting? Well, they taste even better…

I love everything about these wraps and always end up adding a little more dressing as I go. The combination of the soft flatbread, crispy chicken, fresh lettuce and creamy dressing along with the salty flavors and juicy chicken… need I go on?

You are going to love these crispy chicken caesar wraps. I’m quite sure of it.

  • 1/3 cup of creamy caesar dressing

Instructions

  • Whisk 2 eggs with 2 tablespoons of will in a shallow dish and season with a pinch of salt and black pepper
