I love smoothies. They are such an easy way to enjoy healthy ingredients for breakfast, lunch, a mid-day snack or after workout recovery meal. Just combine your ingredients and blend!
I use my favorite Ninja Blender that is so easy to clean, so in just a few minutes, I have a creamy, delicious smoothie full of protein, antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and nutrients ready to go.
Smoothies are also a wonderful way to reduce food waste. Whatever is unemployed in my refrigerator will most likely go into tomorrows smoothie and that is exactly how I came up with this pineapple, mango and clementine smoothie.
You are going to love this one. Let’s get started…
All you’ll need is a cup of pineapple (fresh or frozen), a cup of mango (fresh or frozen), 2 peeled clementines, 1/2 cup of plain Greek yogurt and 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder. Easy, right?
Obviously, using frozen fruit will give you a thicker, colder smoothie, but I usually use fresh fruit. Both versions taste fantastic!
Add a splash of almond milk or coconut water to thin the smoothie down to your preferred consistency. If your clementines are really juicy, you may not need to thin the smoothies, but adding a splash of something will make it easier to sip with a straw if you are taking your smoothie in the go.
This recipe will give you 2 smoothies and these ones will chill nicely in an airtight container for the next day, so make a full batch! A smoothie today for breakfast and one after tomorrows workout!
All 3 of the fruits used in this smoothie are naturally sweet, so this smoothie is totally delicious with no need for any added sugar. I actually use plain greek yogurt and unsweetened almond milk too… the fruits natural flavors offer plenty of sweetness on their own.
Cheers to drinking your vitamins and nutrients in this truly fabulous smoothie!
