Smash burgers… delicious. Sliders… fun. Smash burger sliders… perfect.

Today, we are making crispy little smash burger sliders for dinner and not only are they ready in 15-20 minutes, but they are absolutely delicious!
Begin by combining 16 ounces of ground beef (80/20 is best here) with 1 tablespoon of worcestershire sauce, 1 teaspoon of mustard, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1 teaspoon of onion powder and salt and black pepper and form the mixture into little golf ball size meat balls (1-1.5 ounces if you are weighing).

Now that the beef is ready, we are going to mix up a quick burger sauce.
Combine 1/2 cup of mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons of ketchup, 1 tablespoon of dijon mustard, 1 tablespoon of sweet relish and add a pinch of cayenne, salt and black pepper.
Take a quick taste test and add additional cayenne or salt if the sauce doesn’t pop enough.

So, we have technically already seasoned the beef well, but I like to add a little extra garlic powder, onion powder and salt over each little meat ball before they cook.
Don’t compact the beef too much while you are forming the balls, because we want them to smash out really easily in the skillet.

Place a cast iron skillet over medium to medium high heat and add a thin layer of a neutral oil over the skillet.
Once the skillet is quite warm, place a meat ball down, cover it with a small square of parchment paper and use a meat press, unslotted spatula or the bottom of anything smooth and flat to press the meat ball down very firmly.
Carefully remove the parchment paper and repeat the process with a few other portions of beef.

Let the burgers cook undisturbed for 60 seconds, flip them and add a slice of your favorite cheese.
Thats it! Look at how crispy they get in just 60 seconds! You can knock out all of the portions in about 5 minutes making this such a perfect mid-week meal.

Place one or two little patties into a slider bun, top with a healthy spoon full of the burger sauce and whatever else you love on your burger.
This dinner could not be easier and these little smash burger sliders could not be more delicious.
Cheers to easy eating my friends!
