A Simple Pan Gravy
A thick, rich pan gravy that comes together quickly and requires no drippings. Perfect to pair with a roast turkey breast, pork tenderloin or a big bowl of mashed potatoes.

- 8 tablespoons of butter
- 1/2 cup of all purpose flour
- 4 cups of stock (chicken, beef, pork, turkey or vegetable)
- 1 teaspoon of dried herbs (optional)
- 1/4 cup of heavy cream (optional)
- 1-2 bouillon cubes (optional)
- salt and black pepper
Place 8 tablespoons of butter in a skillet over medium heat
As soon as the butter has melted, whisk in 1/2 cup of all purpose flour and cook for about a minute while whisking
Carefully whisk in 4 cups of stock or drippings and bring the mixture to a simmer
Simmer until thickened
Add a teaspoon of dried herbs, bouillon cubes and/or 1/4 cup of heavy cream, if using
Taste and add salt and black pepper, if necessary
