Cranberry Apple Sauce

A delicious apple and brown sugar twist on classic cranberry sauce.

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces of fresh cranberries
  • 1 large apple, peeled and diced
  • 3/4 cup of apple juice, cranberry juice or cider
  • 3/4 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon of ground ginger
  • 1/8 teaspoon of salt

Instructions

  • Combine all of the ingredients in a small saucepan and bring to a simmer over medium heat 
  • Simmer for 15-20 minutes or until tender and slightly reduced 
  • Transfer into a bowl and set aside to cool 
  • Serve at room temperature or chill in an airtight container until ready to serve
