Raspberry Coulis

A simple sauce made with fresh raspberries that can be used on ice cream, pancakes or cheesecake.

Ingredients

  • 10 ounces of fresh raspberries
  • 1/4 cup of granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons of cornstarch (if thickening if desired)

Instructions

  • Combine 10 ounces of fresh raspberries, 1/4 cup of granulated sugar, 2 tablespoons of orange juice and a teaspoon of vanilla extract into a saucepan and place over medium heat
  • Simmer until the raspberries begin to break down
  • Use immediately or blend until smooth
  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days
