Steakhouse Burgers

Juicy, well seasoned burgers topped with a rich garlic herb aioli and loads of crispy onion straws.

Ingredients

Burgers

  • 16 ounces of ground beef
  • 1/2 cup of yellow onion, grated
  • 2 cloves of garlic, finely minced
  • 1 tablespoon of worcestershire sauce
  • 1 egg, whisked
  • 1 teaspoon of seasoned salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper

Toppings

  • 4 slices of sharp cheddar
  • 2 cups of crispy onion straws
  • 1/2 cup of garlic herb aioli
  • lettuce and tomatoes
  • 4 burger buns

Instructions

  • Make a batch of garlic herb aioli and some crispy onion straws
  • In a large bowl, combine 16 ounces of ground beef with 1/2 cup of grated yellow onion, 2 cloves of finely minced garlic, 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce, a whisked egg  and 1 teaspoon of seasoned salt
  • Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape into burgers
  • Season both sides of the burgers with sea salt and black pepper
  • Allow the burgers to sit at room temperature for 20 minutes
  • Brown burgers to your preferred doneness (further instructions above)
  • Add a slice of sharp cheddar to each patty about 60 seconds before removing from the heat
  • Once the burgers are done, let them rest for 5 minutes on a cutting board before assembling
  • Place a burger patty onto the base of a burger bun, add garlic herb aioli to the top bun and top with crispy onion straws
  • Enjoy immediately
