Citrus Cookie Glaze

This simple glaze is bright, tangy and perfectly sweet. It can be made in a variety of consistencies to drizzle, dip or dunk your favorite cookies into. It is ready in about a minute and sets hard enough to stack the cookies and keep them looking pretty.

Let’s get started…

All you’ll need is a cup of confectioners sugar, 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract and 2-3 tablespoons of fresh citrus juice. Today, I am using clementines to go along with my Italian clementine cookies, but lemons, oranges, limes and grapefruit work wonderfully as well.

Start by adding the vanilla extract to the confectioners sugar along with about a tablespoon of citrus juice. The glaze will be thick at this point, but you can always add more…

Continue adding clementine juice until your glaze has reached your desired consistency. A thinner glaze will set quicker, but a thicker glaze will hold its shape better.

If you added too much liquid, you can always more confectioners sugar to thicken it back up. This is a super easy and forgiving glaze.

Now, all you have to do is drizzle and enjoy…
