Lemon Dill Tartar Sauce

Whipping up a fresh batch of citrusy tartar sauce can take your average piece of fish from boring to fabulous or kick your fish tacos up a few notches. It is simple to make, super flavorful and this tartar sauce has no chemicals or preservatives, so there are no reasons to reach for the jarred stuff.

Let’s get started…

Combine 3/4 cup of a good quality mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons of freshly squeezed lemon juice, 1/4 cup of finely chopped dill pickle, a pinch of black pepper (freshly cracked pepper, if possible!) and 1 heaping tablespoon of finely chopped fresh dill in a bowl.

Give everything a good whisk and then do a quick taste test to see if you want more lemon juice or pepper.

Thats it and when you taste this zesty lemon dill tartar sauce, you may never go back to the store bought stuff again.

Serve it with any type of fish, fried oysters or clams, over fish tacos, on a fish sandwich or any sandwich actually. It adds a bold dill flavor with a bright kick of lemon to every dish you add it to.
