Maple Dijon Vinaigrette

A good dressing makes all the difference on a salad. It can help to enhance the flavors of the salads ingredients and balance out any missing elements. This maple dijon dressing is salty, sweet, tangy and acidic, so it compliments a wide variety of salads from a basic pile of greens to a complex layer of ingredients.

If you are looking for a great dressing that comes together in minutes and requires basic pantry ingredients then this one is for you.

Let’s get started…

All you need to do is combine 1/3 cup of olive oil with 2 tablespoons of pure maple syrup, 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar, 2 teaspoons of dijon mustard, a small finely minced garlic clove (or 1/2 teaspoon of minced garlic), 1/4 teaspoon of salt and a pinch of black pepper in a small bowl or cup.

Whisk vigorously… either by hand or with a milk frother.

Done.

This dressing is really good… like really good.

Although I think it is perfect as is, I always recommend you doing a quick taste test by dipping a piece of lettuce into the mix and make sure that it is perfect for you. If it is not sweet enough, add a little more maple. If the flavors don’t pop enough, add another pinch of salt.

Make it yours and it will be perfect…
